Meet our Family

Jane Fisher

Owner/Director, Jane is a Certified Early Childhood Educator since 1973 and a member of the Early Childhood Development Association. Working at the centre full-time and keeping up with her two adult children and one grandchild keeps Jane very busy and energetic. When not enjoying the company of friends and family, Jane is a volunteer at the Canadian Cancer Society and is a regular blood donor. Jane is the 2010 winner of the Early Childhood Development Association “Leadership Award”

Lisa MacLaren

Lisa is a 1991 graduate of Holland College with her diploma in Early Childhood Care and Education and is a member of the Early Childhood Development Association. Lisa works with four years olds in the Junior Kindergarten Program. Lisa lives in Brackley with her husband and two sons, ages 9 and 12, and their two cats. She is involved in her sons’ Home & School Association and sings in the church choir.

Patti Larkin

Patti is a 1999 graduate of Holland College with her diploma in Early Childhood Care and Education and a member of the Early Childhood Development Association. She has worked in the Infant/Toddler care program since its inception. When not at work, Patti studies part-time at UPEI to obtain a Degree in Child & Family Science. She and her husband have three children and she is active coaching her daughter’s sport teams.

Christina MacPhee

Christina is a graduate of both Kennesaw State University in Atlanta, Georgia as a Certified Nursing Assistant and Holland College with an Early Childhood Care and Education Diploma. She is a member of the Early Childhood Development Association and has worked with a family in Atlanta, as  “Nanny MacPhee” for three years.  Since 2008, Christina works as aJunior Kindergarten Program educator. She enjoys animals, traveling and photography.

Marie Hennebery

Marie has been employed with the centre since November 2007. In March 2011, she will be attending an On-line 90 hour Early Childhood Blended Training Course at Holland College.  Marie currently works with the infants/toddlers and is a member of the Early Childhood Development Association.  She and her husband have two teenage children.

Crystal Affleck

Crystal has 12 years experience in the child care field. She received her Early Childhood Care and Education diploma from Holland College and is a member of the Early Childhood Development Association. In future, she plans to enroll in Family Science at UPEI. Crystal lives in Stratford with her husband and 12 year old son. She spends her time as a hockey and soccer mom & playing co-ed softball in the summer.


Deborah Vail

Deborah has been employed at the centre since April 2009. She is a graduate of the Administrative Assistant Program at Compu-College and Computer Applications at Academy of Learning. In 2008, she completed her Early Childhood Passport to Employment Program at Holland College.

Kayla Thomson Kayla graduated from Charlottetown Rural High School in 2007, worked in a community care facility and studied to be a Medical Secretary. In 2011 she joined “Just for You” and realized that Early Childhood is the area she wants to work in. Kayla is taking introductory courses in Early Child Care at Holland College and plans to work towards her Diploma in this field.

Gail Arsenault

Gail joined “Just for You” as support staff in the fall of 2011 after many years of working in community care with mental health clients, seniors and doing volunteer work.  She has grown children and one grand child.

Jennifer Whiten

Jennifer is the mother of three and lives in Charlottetown. She is a graduate of Compu College (now Eastern College) Child and Youth Care program and recently completed a 90 hour on-line Early Childhood Blended Training Course through Holland College. She is a member of the Early Childhood Development Association, is active in the community and enjoys spending time with her family and friends.

Leanne Gallant

Leanne has been working in the Childcare field for over fifteen years, and has been a live-in nanny. She is a 1994 graduate of Centennial College with her Early Childhood Diploma and a member of the Early Childhood Development Association of PEI. Leanne and her husband and two sons, ages 14 and 11 have relocated from Ontario to PEI.  Leeanne enjoys traveling, reading, and spending time with her extended family.

Becky Warren

Becky moved to from Nova Scotia to Charlottetown in 2007. She is a two-time graduate of Holland College, receiving both her Photography and Child and Youth Care Worker Diplomas.  She is a member of Early Childhood Association of PEI, enjoys working with children and currently works as a Special Needs Assistant. In her spare time, Becky can be found traveling, visiting family and of course, taking pictures!
